Roger Stewart (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Roger Dale Stewart, son of William C. and Freeda Lewis Stewart, was born May 10, 1955, in Davenport, Iowa. He departed this life Monday, August 27, 2018, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-three years, three months, and seventeen days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Leona Nutter and Marcella Long; and two nephews, Joe Norman Woodruff and Jerry D. Nutter.
Roger is survived by three daughters, Mary Stewart, Melody Stewart, and John Weaver, and Jessica Clay, and her husband, John, all of Lebanon, Missouri; two step-sons, Jimmy Brown, and Jayson Brown, and his wife, Serina, all of Lebanon, Missouri; eighteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, William Thomas Stewart, of Lebanon, Missouri; four sisters, Ginger Gibbs, Beverly Sien, and her husband, Charlie, Patty Burns, and Melissa Schaubroeck, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; the mother of his children, Anna Denney Stewart, of Lebanon, Missouri; a special friend, Jeanie Smallwood, of Kirksville, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Iowa, but was raised in the Lebanon area where he attended Lebanon R-III Schools. He then continued to live near Lebanon for thirty-seven years. He had been an iron worker and mechanic, working for various factories through the years. He retired from Associate Transport a few years ago.
Roger enjoyed watching races and going to tractor pulls. He also liked riding his motorcycle, boating and watching western movies. He was an amazing father and was always willing to help others. He had a good sense of humor and liked cracking jokes. He loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed having time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Roger was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
