Rollo H. Shipman's Obituary
Rollo Hadley Shipman, son of C.B. and Ellen Byrd Shipman, was born, Tuesday, November 15, 1910 in Camden County, Missouri. He departed this life, Friday, May 11, 2007 in Osage Beach Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of ninety-six years, five months and twenty-six days. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jimmy Shipman; two brothers, Earl Shipman and Robert Shipman; a sister, Opal Anderson; an infant brother and an infant great-grandchild. Survivors include his children, Jack Shipman and wife Thelma of Boonville, Missouri and Evelyn Hunter of Linn Creek, Missouri; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Fudge of Iberia, Missouri, Hazel Hopkins of Camden, Missouri and Molly Henson of Richland, Missouri; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rollo was raised in Camden County, Missouri and lived all of his life in the lake area. He worked for Osage Products in Eldon, Missouri and retired as a shop supervisor. He made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Linn Creek Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Rollo was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his long, full life and will treasure the memories he created for everyone. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2007, in the Conway Cemetery, Osage Beach, Missouri. Memorials to a charity of the donor's choice may be made through the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
