Romayne Wengler (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Romayne Theresa Wengler, daughter of Vivian and Theresa (Barnes) Doza, was born on March 30, 1934 and departed this life on January 15, 2024. At the time of her passing, Romayne was eighty-nine years, nine months and sixteen days of age.
She was preceded in death by five brothers; three sisters; and her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Wengler; two children, Deborah (Brad) Joslin of Kansas City, MO and Connie (Chuck) Ostrander of Granbury, TX; four grandchildren, Daniel (Michelle Nickolett) Fiala, Anthony (Robin Riekels) Ostrander, Andrew Ostrander and Dane Ostrander; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Fiala, Layne Ostrander, Landon Ostrander, Willow Ostrander and Aspen Ostrander; and Sister, Willa Rose Basler. She also leaves behind many friends and other family members who will all truly miss her.
Romayne was born in Kaskaskia, Illinois where she was raised on the island and attended school. On November 20, 1954, at Kaskaskia Island Catholic Church, Romayne was united in marriage to Harold Wengler, together they would share sixty-nine years of marriage.
She owned and operated Romayne’s Beauty Salon for over 20 years and in her spare time, she was an avid bridge player at the Osage Beach senior center and online. She truly enjoyed her time at the Lake of the Ozarks, enjoying all the lake life has to offer.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
