Ronald Louie Davis (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Ronald (Ronnie) Louie Davis was born in Granite, Oklahoma, on May 31, 1942, to Louie D. and Esther (Iron) Davis. He attended school in Mangum, Oklahoma, and worshiped at the Lutheran Church, where he accepted Christ at an early age. He lived in Midwest City, Oklahoma with family for a period of time, and then traveled to Missouri. On May 22, 1962, in Stockton, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Rosa M. Pena. Ronnie went on to spend 20+ years as a dairy farmer, 17 years as a milk hauler, and five years as a rural mail carrier after which he retired. He departed this earth on July 19, 2025, at 83 years 19 days of age surrounded by his loving family. Ronnie enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and spending lots of time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. However, his favorite pastime was watching Fox News and drinking coffee. He was a jokester and left a bounty of letters allegedly penned by his daughter Becky’s chickens. A room filled with laughter whenever he was around. His family relied on him for his words of wisdom both in person and through telephone conversations. They appreciated the way he could find humor in every situation and was always willing to point it out to them. He was also always willing to let you know what he was thinking about any and every subject. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosa, of the home; four children: Rosa (Mark) Powell of Preston, MO; Rhonda (Derwin) Cochrane of Norman, OK; Rick (Sherry) Davis of Great Bend, KS; and Becky (David) Phillips of Buffalo, MO; a brother, Dale Davis of Carter, OK; nine grandchildren: Jacob Powell, Crystal Justice, Christopher Saltzmann, Scott Cochrane, Weston Powell, Lee Phillips, Austin Davis, Angela Rodriguez, and James Delgadillo; twelve great-grandchildren: Rilye, Addi, Kellar, Logan, Lucas, Carter, Ellie Rose, Lydia, Oliver, Sydney, Kellen, and Jacob as well as Millie, his dachshund. He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings: Donald, David, and Elizabeth, and one grandchild: Lynn Davis Phillips. Visitation will be July 25, 2025, from 6 pm-8 pm at Cantlon, Otterness, & Viets Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held July 26, 2025, at 10:00 am at Hopewell Cemetery in Tunas, MO.
