Ronald E. Eversoll (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Ronald E. Eversoll, loving husband and sportsman, passed away at the age of 71, on Friday, July 3, 2026. Ron was born on November 29, 1954, in Bolivar, Mo., to Harold and Mildred Eversoll. He graduated from Bolivar High School in 1972 and started work as a farm hand at the Jerry Gallivan dairy farm. Later, he began working on towboats on the Mississippi River for Cargill, starting as an oiler and advancing up to chief engineer. He met his wife, Kaye Brickles, in Springfield, Missouri, and they married on October 31, 1981.They moved to Aldrich, Missouri, where Ron started raising cattle and began working in construction with Steve Garretson. Later, Ron and Kaye moved to a small farm in Fair Play, Missouri, where they resided until his death. Ron and Kaye shared many hobbies that they were passionate about, hunting and especially fishing. Ron worked with bird dogs, learning how to train them, and became known for his expertise. Friends and acquaintances would bring their dogs to him for training and evaluation. Ron and Kaye were long-time members and supporters of the Springfield Rod & Gun Club, with Ron serving as an executive board member for many years. Ron had many nieces and nephews (grand ones as well) that he loved and mentored, sharing his love of hunting, fishing, and bird dogs with them, as well as their spouses. He was dedicated to the care of his mother, Mildred, and always showed up when it mattered most for his brothers and sister. Ron is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kaye Eversoll; his mother, Mildred Eversoll; two brothers, Lee Eversoll (Dana) and David Eversoll (Debbie); and his sister, Becky Turner(Rick), as well as many nieces, nephews, and beloved brothers- and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Eversoll. A visitation will be held 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, MO.
