Ronald W. Grenier (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Ronald “Ron” Wilfred Grenier the only child of Archille and Thelma Vachun Grenier, was born September 11, 1939, in Rochester, New Hampshire. He passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2021, with his children by his side, in Lebanon Missouri, at the age of 81 years and 7 months and twenty-nine days.
On July 9, 1977, Ron was united in marriage to Rachel Pauline Plante, and together they had four children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Rachel, on August 18, 2015.
Ron is survived by his four children, Lisa Bedard, and her husband, Tom, of Lebanon, Maine, Marshall Grenier, and his wife, Stacy, of Madison, Alabama, Cindy Hurley, and her husband, John, of Rochester, New Hampshire, and Robert Micheal, and his wife, Rose, of Dixon, Missouri; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; his furry four-legged companion,” Cowboy”; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Ron was born and raised in Rochester, New Hampshire, and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1959 through 1963. Ron retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard after twenty-three years of service and he and Rachel moved to Lebanon, Missouri, in 2006, and made it their home.
In life, he and Rachel enjoyed going on cruises to visit foreign shores and traveling the country. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and sharing his life experiences with his family and friends.
Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and in that we celebrate his life accomplishments, his service to our country, and the memories he created for his family and many friends and acquaintances to share.
Services will be held at a later date at Mt. Calvary cemetery in Somersworth, New Hampshire.
