Ronald Grice (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Ronald Allen Grice, 85, of Bolivar, Missouri, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri with his wife by his side.
Ron was born, February 12, 1938, in Grundy County, Missouri to the late Fern and Adaline (Boorne) Grice. On July 2,1961, Ron was united in marriage to Beverly Thomas. To this union, three children were born.
Ron was drafted and served two years in the United States Army. After his time in the Army, he enjoyed a life of running a sawmill and logging for many years. Later on, he repaired small engines and owned a lawn care business. In his spare time he loved woodworking. Ron was active in his community. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Urbana fire department and served on City Council. During his retirement years, Ron enjoyed birdwatching.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Beverly Grice, children Debra Sain and husband James, David Grice and wife Laura, and Tammy McLees and husband Aaron, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held in Ron’s honor from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri. Ron will be laid to rest at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri receiving full military honors at a later date.
