Ronald Henslee's Obituary
Ronald Gene Henslee, son of Leonard B. and Geneva Fleetwood Henslee, was born May 27, 1945, in Mansfield, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, September 2, 2007, in Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-two years, three months, and five days. He was united in marriage to Yvonne Deaton and to this union one daughter was born. He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Donald Henslee. Ronald is survived by a daughter, Michelle Shick, and her husband, Andy, of Wellington, Missouri; two grandsons, Gunnar and Oskar Shick; his mother, Geneva Henslee, of Mansfield, Missouri; a brother, Junior Henslee, and his wife, Janice, of Springfield, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; a special friend, Jennifer Darling, of Portland, Oregon; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School. Then in May of 1968 he entered the United States Army where he served his country faithfully until being honorably discharged in April of 1970. He then moved to Kansas City and later to Lee’s Summit for thirty-five years, where he operated a used car dealership, before moving back to Mansfield in 2006. Ronald had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mansfield. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf and loved spending time with his family. Ronald was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle and was caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Mansfield. Burial will be in the Hensley Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield, Missouri.
