Ronald Myers (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Ronald Myers, 82, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, September 6th surrounded by family at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
Ronald was born on April 12, 1934 to Laban and Opal Myers in Fraser, Michigan. At a young age, Ron accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. In high school, Ron played as many sports as he could in high school, and always managed to find himself staying active. After high school Ron earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, as well as attending the Moody Bible Institute.
In 1960, Ron married the love of his life, Nancy Wheeler, and to this union three children were born.
Ron spent his life applying his education by working as a mechanical engineer. When he was not at work, he could be found spending time with his family, often watching the Chiefs. He also enjoyed the company of his close friends. They would often be found wherever coffee was served, and once a week would invite their wives to join them. Ron also had a deep love for singing, and was a member of the church choir as well as his own southern gospel quartet. With such a full life, Ron had many reasons to give praise.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, his daughter Karen Ice and husband Van; his daughter Jennifer Marsh and husband Jim; his son Jeff Myers and wife Becky, as well as a number of grandchildren.
A memorial service for Ron will be held Saturday, September 10th at 10:00 AM at Butler Funeral Home. Visitation will be held the hour prior.
