Ronald Smith (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Ronald Lee Smith of Lebanon, Missouri passed away in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehab in Lebanon, Missouri on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. He was born October 12, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa to Hershel Jacob Smith and Elise Mae Smith. At the time of his passing, he was eighty-one years, nine months and twenty-eight days.
Ronald was raised in Iowa and graduated from high school there. Following graduation, he joined the National Guard. He was employed at an auto parts company and shipped out orders for them. He also worked at the Fire Station.
Ronald followed the Catholic faith and was very involved in his church. He was a very caring individual and was happy to help others. He would give the shirt off his back if that was needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ronald is survived by his daughter, Michelle Smith of Lebanon, Missouri; his granddaughter, Alyssa Smith and her fiancee, Brandon Kenfield of Lebanon, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Areanna Kenfield, Isaiah Kenfield, K.C. Kenfield and Alaysia Kenfield; and his sister, Lola Angell of Iowa.
He loved cars and was a member of several car clubs. He not only showed cars, but worked on and restored cars as well. He had a 1957 Chevy that was his pride and joy.
He also enjoyed dancing and would go line dancing and square dancing several times a week.
Ronald loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and traveling. He looked forward to fishing trips in Canada and traveled there several times.
Above all, Ronald enjoyed time spent with his family. He loved them very much and looked forward to family get-togethers. The stories he shared with them and the memories they made will be cherished for years to come.
