Ronald M Stewart (Hartville)'s Obituary
Ronald Merle Stewart, son of Merle Eckenrode and Florence (O’Grady) Stewart, was born May 2, 1939 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He departed this life in his home near Hartville, Missouri Monday morning, October 21, 2013 at the age of seventy-four years, five months and nineteen days.
He was united in marriage to Sharon Vlay Booher on August 5, 1962 and to this union one son and three daughters were born. The young couple lovingly raised their family with Christ as their cornerstone.
Raised in Pennsylvania Brother Ron spent his younger there until after graduation, where he entered the United States Air Force. After he faithfully served his country, Brother Ron went to Bible College and devoted his life to serving his Lord Jesus Christ. He worked as a church planter, starting five churches during his ministry. Following his calling Brother Ron would evangelize during the summer months. The couple moved to Hartville in 2000 and started the Grace Outreach Bible Church and Free Store in 2004, where he was the pastor until his passing.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gene Stewart; and a sister, Floramae Pettit.
Brother Ron is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years, Sharon Stewart of the home; his son Gene Ronald Stewart, Sr. and wife JoAnn of Loch Buie, Colorado; his daughters Shawne Undercoffer of Reno, Nevada, Darla VanKleeck and husband Jeff and Suzie Milbauer and husband Roy, all of Hartville, Missouri; his grandchildren Gene Ronald Stewart, Jr., Corrine and Joel Undercoffer, Brianna, Thomas and Joshua Robbins, Charity Milbauer-Price and Kirsten Milbauer; his brother Alden Stewart and wife Patricia of Vancouver , Canada; his sisters Dee Snodgrass and husband Chuck and Sharon Crawford and husband Tom, all of Arizona; several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other dear family, church family and friends.
A humble servant of the Lord, Pastor Ronald Stewart loved spending time with his family and his beloved dog “McGee”. He also enjoyed traveling to share the Good News and hunting. Ronald Stewart was a loving husband; father, brother, uncle and pastor. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith and hope to all who knew him. We celebrate his life and accomplishments holding dear to the memories he created for each of us. Although Brother Ron will be greatly missed, we can take comfort in the truth through Jesus Christ that we will meet again.
Burial was held in the Durbin Cemetery, under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
