Ronald L Tuley (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Ronald Lee Tuley, son of Earlis and Blanche Robinson Tuley, was born November 22, 1933, in Casper, Wyoming. He departed this life Thursday, March 21, 2019, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-five years, three months, and twenty-nine days.
On July 27, 1980, he was united in marriage to Shirley Marie Parsons, and they shared the last thirty-eight years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant sister.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Shirley, of the home; seven children, Jim, Nancy, Debbie, Rebecca, Lucinda, Patricia, and Christopher; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Shira, of Lakeland, Florida, and Bruce Tuley, of Houston, Texas; a sister, Barbara Talianna, of Edwardsville, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Wyoming, and after graduating from high school, he earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming. He later received his master’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He made a career with General Dynamics which spanned over thirty-four years. After he and Shirley were married, they made their home in Southern California for a number of years. In 1997, they moved to the Lebanon, Missouri area and purchased the Oakland Mansion. This home provided him a chance to use his passion for woodworking and he always had a project which he loved.
Ronald had a background in the Methodist faith. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was rather outspoken and was steadfast in his convictions. He loved his black Labrador dogs and Corvettes. His family was very dear to him and he and Shirley enjoyed spending time together.
Ronald was a loving family man, a talented woodworker, and a good neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Memorial donations to the Laclede County Republican Women's Club may be made through the funeral home.
