Ronald Wayne Cummins' Obituary
onald Wayne Cummins was born July 11, 1945, in Seymour, Missouri, to the late Virgil and Gertie (Mainus) Cummins. He departed this life on April 8, 2008, in his home, near Rogersville, Missouri, after a short illness, at the age of sixty-two years, eight months, and twenty-seven days. He was united in marriage March 7, 1965, to Nancy Hake in Wapello, Iowa, and to this union a son, Danny, and a daughter, Angela, were born. Ronnie, as he was known to all his family and many friends, was the founder and owner of Cummins Pools and Excavating that he, his wife, and family operated for the past twenty-five years. If you were lucky enough to have been a customer of Ronnie’s not only did you get a beautiful new pool, you also found a wonderful new friend. Cummins Pools has been in business the past twenty-five years not because of advertising but because of past costumers referring their friends and family to Cummins Pools, Ronnie was proud of that. Ronnie was recently baptized at the First Baptist Church in Rogersville by Pastor Winston Burton. He was Mason and a member of Hazelwood Lodge #459 AF & AM in Seymour. He centered his life on his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-three years, Nancy, of the home; a son, Danny Cummins, and his wife, Theresa, of Seymour, Missouri; a daughter, Angela Carlberg, and her husband, Shawn, of Rogersville, Missouri; five grandchildren, who were the “lights of his life”, Amanda Mitchell, Daniel Cummins, and his fiancée, Ronni Noland, and Jessica Cummins, all of Seymour, Missouri, Ethen Carlberg, and his little princess, Zoey Carlberg, both of Seymour, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Kevin, Riley, and his other little princess Kaydence Mitchell, all of Seymour, Missouri; three sisters, Joyce Newsom, and her husband, Rodger, and Maxine Ledgerwood, all of Seymour, Missouri, and Wanda Swanson, and her husband, Ron, of Springfield, Missouri; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Maxine Hake, of Muscatine, Iowa; four brothers-in-law, Gary Hake, and his wife, Pat, of Granby, Missouri, Sam Hake, and his wife, Loretta, of the state of Maine, Randy Hake, and his wife, Roxie, and Russell Hake and his wife, Sandy, of Muscatine, Iowa; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as host of other relatives and many wonderful friends. Ronnie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Seymour. Burial will be in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri. Return to top
