Ronall Lee Adamson's Obituary
Ronall Lee Adamson, Sr., son of William Harrison and Leola Claxton Adamson, was born June 10, 1933, in the Wolfe Creek Community of Wright County. He departed this life Thursday, June 27, 2006, in his home, in Rogersville, Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years and seventeen days. On May 23, 1955 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Marie Detherage, and to this union two sons were born. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Vanderpool. Ronall is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the home; two sons, Ronall Lee Adamson, Jr., of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Steven Mark Adamson, and his wife, Jackie, of Pensacola, Florida; four grandchildren, Jeremy and Ashley Adamson, Darby Rusher and Andrew Adamson; two sisters, Geleta Adams, of Nixa, Missouri, and Pauline Long, of Lamar, Missouri; two brothers, Lowell Adamson, of Springfield, Missouri, and Rex Adamson, of Joplin, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in the Wolfe Creek Community and later moved to the Jerktail community before the family moved to the farm near Mountain Grove. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955 . After he was honorably discharged he returned to Wright County and he and Dorothy were married. They later resided in Houston, Texas for fifteen years, where they loving raised their family. He and his family later moved to the Springfield, Missouri area where they have continued to reside. Throughout his life he had worked in retail and farm services sales. Ronall had professed his faith in Christ and was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church in Rogersville, where he enjoyed his church fellowship. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a quite gentle man, known as a great dad and provider by his children. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors caring for his yard and garden. Ronall was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be greatly missed and will live in our hearts forever. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Hartville. Burial will be in the New Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 - 4:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
