Rosalia Newcomb (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Rosalia Grace Newcomb, age 101 of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.
She was born December 10, 1908 on a farm two miles Northwest of Parnell, Nodaway County, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Henry Newcomb and Louise Catherine (Conway) Newcomb.
She worked on the farm and handled many of the farming chores. She attended First Assembly of God Church in Bolivar, Missouri. She moved to Polk County, Missouri in December of 1917 at the age of 9.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, George Thomas Newcomb, Henry Arthur Newcomb, Harvey Franklin Newcomb, Charles Fredric Newcomb, three sisters, Lucy Frances Newcomb, Lillie Ellen Kirchner and Goldie May Rauch.
Rosalia is survived by many nephews and nieces, and great nephews and great nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, September 24, 2010 at the First Assembly of God Church in Bolivar, Missouri with Reverend Gary Ankrom officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
