Rose Marie Eidson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Rose Marie Eidson, daughter of Jim Henson and Wanda Weaver Anderson, was born May 3, 1958, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She departed this life Sunday, September 1, 2019, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-one years, three months, and twenty-eight days.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Matthew Henson; an infant grandson, Jacob Scurlock; and infant niece, Amanda Allen; and a nephew, Coty Allen.
Rose is survived by a daughter, Crystal Scurlock, and her husband, Curtis, of Long Lane, Missouri; a son, Jeramy McCallister, and his special friend, Rachel Shankle, of Lebanon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kyle, Hannah, and Owen; her mother and step-father, Wanda and John Anderson, of Marshfield, Missouri; her father, Jim Henson, of Springfield, Missouri; two sisters, Carla Allen, and her husband, Ivan, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Brenda Sweaney, and her husband, Randle, of Buffalo, Missouri; a step-sister, Carla Medlock, and her husband, James, of Springfield, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; her special friend, Joe Huntley, of the Bennett Spring, Missouri area; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Greene County, Missouri area and attended Strafford High School where she played drums in the Strafford Drum Corps. She received her G.E.D. from Lebanon High School and then made her home near Lebanon where she began working for the H. D. Lee Company in Lebanon. She continued at that job for over twenty years. She was also a devoted homemaker to her children and family.
Rose was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lebanon.
In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, dancing, going to yard sales and shopping. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren.
Rose was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
A Memorial has been established to the Grange Hall Cemetery.
