She spent her early years in Oregon before moving to Reno and Lake Tahoe, Nevada. She began her career in gaming and continued her craft when she moved to Las Vegas. She was one of the first women dealers on the Vegas strip. Her career as a table games dealer spanned forty years. Life then took her to Versailles, Missouri where she would live for thirty years. Seven years ago, Rose moved to Lebanon.
Rose was preceded in death by her mother, Orfa Oden; a brother, Dana Hardin; and a grandson, Travis Hahn.
She is survived by two daughters, Dee Dee Ann Black of Pilot Grove, Missouri and Tammy Wright of Las Vegas, Nevada; one son, Faron Madderra of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Susie Smith of Oregon.
Rose loved her life on the farm. She especially liked breaking horses. She also enjoyed crocheting and target shooting. Above all, she loved her family. Her life revolved around her family and she loved being with her children and grandchildren. They were the light of her life and she was a big part of their lives. Her loss is deeply felt by her family, and she will be so missed. Yet, we know that she lives on in them, in their memories and in their love for each other.
