Roseanne H. Macris (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Roseanne Macris, daughter of Harry and Margaret Steele Hines, was born September 26, 1943, in Almeda, California. She departed this life Tuesday, June 23, 2020, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-six years, eight months, and twenty-eight days.
On May 1, 1965, she was united in marriage to Randolph Macris and to this union one daughter was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Randolph, in 2010.
Roseanne is survived by a daughter, Maureen Jacobs, and her husband, John, of Lebanon, Missouri; a granddaughter, Veronica Jacobs, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in Richmond, Missouri, and graduated from Richmond High School. She then earned her Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Missouri University – Columbia, where she was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. She began teaching music in the Excelsior Springs School System and remained in that position for over thirty years. After she and Randolph were married, they made their home in the Richmond area and lovingly raised their daughter. After retiring in 2000, Roseanne and Randolph moved to Lebanon, Missouri.
Roseanne had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the First Christian Church in Richmond, Missouri.
Through the years, she had been the musician for various clubs and organizations. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and reading, especially mysteries. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed making special recipes for her family and friends. She loved animals and particularly her pet cat, Teddy.
Roseanne was a loving mother, grandmother, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
Private services will be held under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park.
A memorial has been established to Claws and Paws.
