Rosell Lee, daughter of Claude and Iva (Freeman) Russell, was born April 11, 1952, in Springfield, Missouri. On Tuesday, February 18, 2014, she peacefully departed this life in her Seymour home with family by her side. She was sixty-one years, ten months and seven days young.
Rosell leaves behind her ever-loving husband of nearly 46 years, Herbert E. Lee; son, Tony Lee and wife Misty, of Seymour, Missouri; daughter, Cynthia Lee of Seymour, Missouri; and son, Joe Lee and wife Nikki, of Seymour, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Ina Friend and husband Ed, of Gainesville, Missouri; sister, May Heying of Ozark, Missouri; brother, Danny Russell and wife Sue, of Dogwood, Missouri; brother, Dean Russell of Hohenwald, Tennessee; and many more extended family, dear friends and neighbors. Rosell, also known to her friends as ‘Rose’, was raised in Dora, a small town in northeastern Ozark County, Missouri. While in high school and living in Dogwood, Missouri, she met Herbert Lee. They were married on March 5, 1968. She held various jobs throughout her life, but her main focus was raising her three children. She had attended the Nazarene Church of Seymour for the past several years. Rosell was never one to pass up a yard sale and truly enjoyed gardening, sewing and attending church. She loved her family dearly and spent as much time as possible with her grandchildren. Rosell Lee was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. We honor her life and celebrate her accomplishments. We will treasure each moment spent with her and every precious memory she created for those who knew and loved her.
