Rosemary Digby (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Rosemary Digby was born November 4, 1919, in Lovilia, Iowa, and departed this life Saturday, December 16, 2017, in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-eight years, one month, and twelve days.
On July 1, 1989, she was united in marriage to Hershel Stanley Digby, and they shared their lives until his passing on November 10, 1998.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, James and Willard West.
Rosemary is survived by a number of nieces and nephews; special friends, Janice Smith, Kim, Jack & Brendon Morelock, Teresa & Ken Hale, and Bonnie Gilbert; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Lovilia, Iowa and began her education in a one-room school house. She later graduated from Lovilia High School. Through the years, she lived in Wyoming, Florida, California and Texas, before she and Stan moved to the Lebanon area in the late nineties. She was always a devoted homemaker to her family.
Rosemary made her profession of faith and was an active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
She was very adventurous, had no fear, and was considered a dare devil. She was a good bowler and was very competitive. She enjoyed reading, writing in her journal, doing puzzles and word searches. Rosemary especially loved her animals and especially her cat, “Kit Kat”, and her dogs, Casey, Butch and Shorty.
Rosemary was a loving aunt, caring neighbor, and friend to many. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and know that her family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories she made for them during her ninety-eight years.
