Rosemary Louise Frankeberger (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Rosemary Louise Frankeberger, daughter of Harry Clayton and Oral Harrill Frankeberger, was born October 18, 1918, near Phillipsburg, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, September 16, 2010, in her home, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of ninety-one years, ten months, and twenty-eight days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Phoebe Pugsley.
Rosemary is survived by two sisters, Roberta Locke, and Helen Sparks, both of Springfield, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Phillipsburg community, and graduated from Phillipsburg High School in the Class of 1935. She continued her studies at Southwest Missouri State Teacher’s College and the University of Missouri. She then taught school in Phillipsburg and Sweet Springs for a few years. She was employed by the Federal Government in Washington, D.C. for a time before moving to New York City. She had a lengthy career in the research department of Time Magazine for over fifty years, and enjoyed life in the city. After retiring in 1997, she moved back to the Ozarks and made her home in Springfield.
Rosemary was raised in the Phillipsburg Christian Church.
She enjoyed dealing in antiques and art and was very successful at whatever she did. She was a talented artist and enjoyed collecting artworks and antiques. She was very strong and persistent in her beliefs.
Rosemary was a loving sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
