Rosemary Smith (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Rosemary Smith was born February 19, 1925, in Akron, Ohio, and departed this life Thursday, March 13, 2014, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-nine years, and twenty-four days.
She was united in marriage to Phillip Smith, and to this union two daughters and three sons were born. Mr. Smith passed away in November of 2008.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Phyllis and Nora; a son, Phill; and a granddaughter, Carol.
Rosemary is survived by two sons, George Smith, and James Smith, both of Lawton, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Salenna. Emily, Anthony, Joan, Sharral, Steven, and Ashley; eight great-grandchildren, Destiny, Ryan, Kevin, Skyler, Markus, Dakota, Adrain, and Kaitlyn; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She lived her early year in Lawton, Oklahoma, where she and Phillip lovingly raised their children. Throughout the years, Rosemary was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. In 2013, she moved to Lebanon, Missouri, to be close to her granddaughter.
Rosemary had established her own personal relationship with her Lord and Savior and preferred the Pentecostal faith.
In her youth, she enjoyed square dancing, and she always loved spending time with her family. She had an outgoing personality and enjoyed being around people. She liked the cartoon character “Betty Boop” and enjoyed reading stories about her and watching her on television.
Rosemary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
A Memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
