Rosetta Faye Richardson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Rosetta Faye Richardson, daughter of Ralph and Alma Davis Reid, was born August 31, 1944, near Drynob, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, March 15, 2016, in SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital, in Jefferson City, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years, six months, and fourteen days.
On October 5, 1960, she was united in marriage to Curtis Dale Richardson, Sr., and to this union two daughters and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis, on May 25, 2010; a grandson, Christopher Lee Richardson, Jr.; a great-grandson, Brayden Gamel; a brother, Donnie Reid; and three sisters, Bonnie Reid, Doris Ritchie, and Ida Robinson.
Rosetta is survived by two daughters, Sandra Cook, and her husband, Frank, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Tina Williams, and her husband, Daren, of Eldridge, Missouri; two sons, Curtis Richardson, Jr., and his wife, Ruth, of Elkland, Missouri; and Chris Richardson, and his wife, Glenna, of Lebanon, Missouri; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Builderback, and Emma Hill, both of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Laclede County, Missouri, and graduated from Lebanon High School. She was sixteen when she and Curtis were married, and she soon became a devoted homemaker and loving mother to her family. She also worked as a seamstress for the H. D. Lee Company for a number of years.
In her spare time she enjoyed dancing and playing Bingo. She always faced life with gentleness and kindness. The joy of her life was in her family and she greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rosetta was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Atchley Cemetery, and left at the funeral home.
