Rosie McGuire's Obituary
Rosie “Ted” McGuire, daughter of William Padrick and Lou Cindy Rodgers Webster, was born November 19, 1916 in Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, August 21, 2006, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-nine years, nine months, and two days. On July 18, 1934 in Eldridge, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Lee McGuire. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1992 after fifty-seven years of marriage She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roy and Clarence Webster and a sister, Lillian Burns. Ted is survived by two brothers, Dain Webster of Lawrence, Michigan and Lee Webster and his wife, Jan, of Scotts, Michigan; a sister, Fern Burns and her husband, J.D., of Eldridge, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Hazel Webster of Kansas City, Missouri, and Lola Webster of Camdenton, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in Camden County, Missouri. After she and Lee were married they made their home in Camden County. During their marriage they had lived in Michigan, Arkansas, Kansas City and finally settled on Hayes Street in Lebanon. After her husband’s death, she continued to live in Lebanon until her health began to fail. She then moved in with her sister and caregiver in Eldridge and was living there at the time of her death. Ted was a hard worker. She had always lived on farms and enjoyed the daily farm chores. She had worked for the H.D. Lee Company in Kansas City and also in Lebanon and retired there. Besides being a devoted wife, she was also a helpmate to her husband, who was a minister. She had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Grace Calvary Pentecostal Church in Lebanon. Ted was talented at sewing and had made many beautiful quilts. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to garage sales. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She was a loving sister and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2006, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri. A fund has been established for the family and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
