She attended the Assembly of God. Roxie was a godly woman and a prayer warrior. Her family was very dear to her, and if you were with her, you were in the presence of the Lord.
Roxie's hands were never idle. She loved making quilts for her children. She gave each one a quilt for Christmas for the last few years. She had a green thumb and always had a garden and beautiful flower beds. She loved to cook for her family. As we mourn our loss of a beautiful, strong, gentle devoted loving soul, Heaven rejoices at receiving God's most faithful servant. She will be missed but never forgotten as her memories will live on in her family. She wrote these words when she was 86 years old."When I am gone, each of you live a good life for the Lord so we can all be together in Heaven, I pray for each of you every day." In the book that she wrote for each of us she said "If you can't have the best of everything. Make the best of everything you have. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, Live at peace with everyone." She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
