Roy Perryman's Obituary
Roy Lee Perryman, son of James Monroe and Lou Ada Todd Perryman, was born April 10, 1938, near Niangua, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, November 2, 2009, in Christian Health Care South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years, six months, and twenty-two days. On May 5, 1979, he was united in marriage to Linda Jane Wright and they shared the last thirty years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Tia Marie Perryman; and a brother, Clarence Perryman. Roy is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; a daughter, Brenda Shaffer, and her husband, Ed, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sons, Ricky Perryman, and his wife, Sherry, and Jerry Perryman, and his wife, Samanytha, all of Lebanon, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Raquel, Zachary, Cody, Cory, and Katana Perryman, Amy Moreau, and Adam Shaffer; five great-grandchildren, Korbin, Alexis, Jadelyn, and Reece Perryman, and Allison Moreau; two brothers, Charles W. Perryman, and his wife, Shirley, and Clifford W. Perryman, and his wife, Sadie, all of Conway, Missouri; three sisters, Mary Dinwiddie, and her husband, Darrell, and Jessie Dinwiddie, all of Conway, Missouri, and Annie Young, of Niangua, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in Laclede County, Missouri, near Conway and Niangua, Missouri, and attended Niangua Schools. After he and Linda were married they made their home in the Lebanon area and Roy drove a school bus for Lebanon R-III Schools for seventeen years. He later worked at Tracker Marine for a few years. He and Linda moved into Lebanon a few years ago. Roy had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Lynchburg Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, playing on his C.B. radio, watching his favorite soap opera, “The Young and the Restless”, and working on lawn mowers. He also liked being outdoors where hunting, fishing, and growing tomatoes where his favorite activities. He enjoyed eating out and his special place was Kentucky Fried Chicken. He greatly enjoyed his work as a bus driver and the fun he had with the students. His family was very important to him and he especially liked spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Roy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the special memories he made for them throughout the years. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday November 5, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lynchburg Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday Evening 7-8:30 p.m. under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established to Regional Hospice.
