Rubie Jones (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Rubie Joy Jones, age 76, of Morrisville, Missouri passed away on Sunday morning, October 31, 2010 at Citizen’s Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Missouri.
She was born January 4, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri to Fredrick Lavern Ballantyne and Violet Pearl (Peterson) Ballantyne.
Rubie married George Irvin Jones on June 8, 1950 in Fairview, Montana. George preceded her in death on April 24, 2010.
She was a retired Junior High School English teacher. She taught from 1959 until retiring in 2000. She was of the Baha’i faith.
Rubie is survived by her daughter, Violet Stillions and her husband Ed of Morrisville, Missouri, two granddaughters, Jodie Garton and her husband Mark of Springfield, Missouri, Ginger Bumgarner and her husband Jeff of Morrisville, Missouri, six grandchildren, Meleah, Zachary, Katie, Johnathon, Joshua and Jacob, one brother, Mike Ballantyne and his wife Beverly of Oak Grove, Missouri, two sisters, Judy Drader of Minot, North Dakota and Ethel Erickson and her husband Darrell of North Dakota.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Enon Cemetery in Wishart, Missouri with Reverend Randy Urich officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Missouri. Musical selections at the cemetery will be "Consider The Lilies" and "Beulah Land" by Roger Bumgarner. No visitation will be held. Pallbearers will be Mark Garton, Ed Stillions, Zachary Garton, Johnathon Bumgarner, Joshua Bumgarner, and Jeff Bumgarner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jacob Bumgarner, Meleah Garton and Katie Garton.
