She was raised in the Kansas City and Lee’s Summit, Missouri areas. After she and Billy were married, they made their home in Kansas City for a number of years, and Ruby was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. She also worked in the kitchen at Jackson County Hospital for a few years. Eventually, the family moved to the Lebanon area and made their home. Ruby liked caring for her home and had done some babysitting at different times.
Ruby had professed her faith in Christ and was an active member of Sunnyview Freewill Baptist Church. She greatly enjoyed the fellowship the church offered and lived her faith daily.
In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, going to garage sales, coming to town and eating out. She liked being outdoors where she enjoyed feeding the birds, tending to her chickens and gathering the eggs. She always put others ahead of herself and loved her family dearly. She especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruby was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her seventy-eight years.
Memorial donations may be made to Sunnyview Garden of Memories Cemetery, and left at the funeral home. Friends may call at their convenience.
