Ruby L. Bradshaw (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Ruby Louise Bradshaw, daughter of Larkin Asa and Ida F. Breedlove Worley, was born October 12, 1919, near Lebanon, Missouri. She went to be with her Savior on Friday, March 23, 2012, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-two years, five months, and eleven days.
On January 15, 1938, she was united in marriage to Ola Othel Bradshaw, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ola, on March 6, 1993; two brothers, Jim and Arthur Worley; and two sisters, Retta Lafferty, and Elsie Richardson.
Ruby is survived by two daughters, Reeva Shumate, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Carol Lincoln, and her husband, Edward, of Arlington, Texas; a son, Wayne Bradshaw, and his wife, Dolores, of Lebanon, Missouri; three grandsons, Steven, Cory, and Brandon; five great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Kerigan, Kamryn, Baylee, and Blane; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Blackfoot community, near Lebanon, and attended Blackfoot School. After she and Ola were married, they made their home in the Lebanon area, and lovingly raised their children. Ruby was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, and also worked as a cook for the Blackfoot Schools for several years.
Ruby was baptized as a teenager in Long Hollow Creek, and was a longtime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a very caring person who was always willing to help others.
In her spare time she enjoyed growing a garden each year, and liked canning her home grown fruits and vegetables. She also enjoyed growing beautiful flowers, and caring for her dogs and cats. She possessed a sweet nature and always had a smile for everyone. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandsons and great-grandchildren.
Ruby was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout her lifetime.
