Katie, as she was known by her family and friends from the song her father would sing, was raised in Aromas, California where she attended middle school and then went to Watsonville High School. In 1967, she graduated from Auburn, California.
She was blessed to be the mother of three children, and worked as a Chef in country clubs and restaurants to provide for them. She enjoyed the simple things of life and was quite a character. Katie was quick to laugh and always encouraged others. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist, and humbly served her Lord. Katie loved her church family and was a powerful prayer warrior for them.
In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, knitting, and crocheting. She used her talents in sewing to give back to others. Katie loved spending time with her friends and family.
A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and a caring neighbor and friend, Katie leaves behind a legacy of love and faith. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will forever cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and all those who knew and loved her.
