Russell L. Darrow (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Russell Lewis Darrow, son of Ernest and Wilda Rogers Darrow, was born September 16, 1950, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, April 4, 2021, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy years, six months, and eighteen days.
On November 7, 1969, he was united in marriage to Ledia F. Towler, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
His parents preceded him in death.
Russell is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years, Ledia, of the home; a daughter, Rena Sapko, of the State of Texas; a son, Russell J. Darrow, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Ernestine McCray, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Judith Kelley, of the State of Utah; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Lebanon, Missouri, where he received his education. He then made his home in California, in the Whittier area for a number of years, while he worked in the construction business and for the Stoodie Corporation. He and Ledia then made their home in Texas for a couple of years before returning to Lebanon. Russell had worked for the H. D. Lee Company for several years, and then worked for Crow Paint and Glass in Lebanon for several years.
Russell had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Emmanuel Chapel Church near Lebanon.
In his spare time he enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, and collecting guns. He loved life and especially enjoyed having time with his family.
Russell was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and was a caring and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
All service are private and will be under the care and direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
