Russell Lansdown (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Harlan Russell Lansdown, son of Harold “Rattler” Lansdown and Annette Beushausen Lansdown, was born October 29, 1957 in Mansfield, Missouri and departed this life on October 6, 2020 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare in Ava, Missouri at the age of sixty-two years, eleven months, and seven days.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Naomi, two nephews, Joe and Brandon and step-mother, Earline. Russell is survived by three sons, Mitchell Hammond of Springfield, Quentin Hammond and wife, Rashelle, of Rogersville, and Michael Hammond and wife, Kelly, of St. Joseph; daughter, Tanya Beggs of Mtn. Grove; twelve grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Lansdown of Ava and Steve Lansdown of Mansfield; half- sisters, Diane, Joyce, Loretta and Dorothy; half-brother, John; step-brother, Stoney; step-sister, Norma; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Russell lived his entire life in or near Mansfield. He was a mechanic, construction worker and “horse trader” and was of the Baptist faith. In his spare time, he loved to hunt and fish and was a gun and knife collector. Russell was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We will miss him, but we know he is free from the poor health issues he had to struggle with daily.
Graveside services will be Friday, Oct. 9 in Mansfield Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield, Missouri.
