Ruth Ann Dugger's Obituary
Ruth Ann Dugger, daughter of Herby Arthur and Bertha Jewell Jordan Jones, was born February 23, 1949, in Hartville, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, January 10, 2007, in her home in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of fifty-seven years, ten months and seventeen days. On May 22, 1965, she was united in marriage to E.C. Dugger, and to this union a son was born. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Clyde Jones. Ruth Ann is survived by her husband, E.C., of the home; her son, Kenneth Dugger, and his wife, Elizabeth, of Ozark, Missouri; a brother, Kenneth Jones, and his wife, Bonnie, of Hartville, Missouri; two sisters, Louise Harris and Wanda White, both of Springfield, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born near Hartville in the Coon Creek Community and attended the Coon Creek School and later Hartville High School. After her marriage, she and E.C. resided in Lebanon for a few years, then moved to Springfield where they continued to live. She worked in the business office at St. John’s Regional Health Center for twenty-three years. Ruth Ann was a devoted wife and mother and loved spending time with her family. In her spare time she enjoyed caring for her home, watching NASCAR and traveling. Her cat, Frisky, was very special to her and gave her great joy. Ruth Ann was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be greatly missed and will live in our hearts forever. We will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Hartville. Burial will be in Steele Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 - 8:00p.m. in the Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Springfield. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri. Memorials to Community Hospice may be made through the funeral home.
