Ruth E. Sebeniecher's Obituary
Ruth Ella Sebeniecher, daughter of Charles Thomas and Liddie Aislee Gourley Jones, was born June 24, 1927, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, November 11, 2007, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years, four months, and seventeen days. On October 6, 1955, she was united in marriage to Eldon Sebeniecher, and together they shared forty years before his passing in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three daughters, Bonnie Foster, and two infants; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Christopher; and two brothers, Robert and Pete Jones. Ruth is survived by a son, Terry Sebeniecher, and his wife, Georgia Faye, of Eldridge, Missouri; two daughters, Vera Wrinkle, and her husband, Richard, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Regina Foxx, of Allen, Texas; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Jones, of Cross Timbers, Missouri; a former son-in-law, Larry Bradshaw, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends, including special friends, Bob and Donna Bangs, of Lebanon, Missouri. She was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri community. After she and Eldon were married, they made their home in various places, including Germany and Kansas, while Eldon was serving in the military. After Eldon retired, they returned to Lebanon, where Ruth made her home for the last forty years. Throughout her life, Ruth was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. Ruth made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a longtime active member of Second Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and creating handmade dolls. She also liked collecting Barbie dolls. She was a tremendous fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed listening to his music. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
