Ruth E. Waterman's Obituary
Ruth Elizabeth Waterman, daughter of Lew Vohn and Ruby Gladys Waterman, was born October 5, 1934, near Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, July 17, 2007, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, nine months, and twelve days. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lisa Hite; two infant siblings; a brother, Lonnie Waterman; and a sister, Connie Willis. Ruth is survived by two sons, Randy Waterman, and his wife, Laura, of Eldridge, Missouri, and Doug Crum, and his wife, Virginia, of Lebanon, Missouri; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rev. Donald Waterman, and his wife, Joyce, of Eldridge, Missouri, and Rev. Sammy Waterman, and his wife, Debbie, of Springfield, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and lived most of her life in the Eldridge community. Besides being a devoted homemaker to her family, Ruth also worked as a waitress at various area restaurants for many years. Ruth made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a member of the Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Eldridge, Missouri. She liked working in her yard and planting beautiful flowers in her spare time. She was a very outgoing person who enjoyed being with people. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Hufft Cemetery, Eldridge, Missouri. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
