Ruth Jones (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Ruth Marie Jones, daughter of Elddridge and Verda Williams Jones, was born August 28, 1934, near Grovespring, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, October 25, 2014, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty years, one month, and twenty-seven days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Wayne Jones; and a niece, Pamela Ruth Inman.
Ruth is survived by a brother, Paul Jones, of Grovespring, Missouri; a sister, Lucille Inman, and her husband, George, of Grovespring, Missouri; a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Grovespring community, and then continued to make her home there for most of her life. She was a devoted homemaker to herself and her brother, and also worked in the Housekeeping Department at Wallace Hospital and then at Breech Medical Center in Lebanon. She had also done private housekeeping for several families throughout the years.
Ruth had professed her faith in Christ and was an active member of Mount Zion (Cuba) Freewill Baptist Church.
In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, making many of her own clothes, quilting, and crocheting. She loved her family dearly and always enjoyed spending time with them.
Ruth was a loving sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mt Zion (Cuba) Cemetery, and left at the funeral home
