Ruth Loney's Obituary
Ruth Edith Loney, daughter of Bud and Mary Frances Wisdom, was born March 23, 1923, in Springfield, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, July 20, 2007, in St. John’s Regional Health Center, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty-four years, three months, and twenty-seven days. On August 31, 1944 she was united in marriage to George Leonard Burtchett, to this union one daughter and two sons were born. She later married Ted Raymond Loney, who preceded her in death on July 14, 1969. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Johnnie Wisdom; and two sisters, Nellie Davis, and Pansy Fletcher. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Kaye Jacobsen, and her husband, Steve, of Springfield, Missouri; two sons, Bill Burtchett, and his wife, Julia, of Mansfield, Missouri, and Rick Burtchett, and his wife, Selena, of Ava, Missouri; five grandchildren, Kevin and Danny Burtchett, Rona Kaye Mainprize, Anna Faucett, and Stephen Jacobsen; ten great-grandchildren, Cory and Devin Phillips, Dakota Mainprize, Jay Autumn Brooke, Peyton, Olivia, and Abbey Groth, Peyton, Drew, and Brett Faucett; a sister, Laura Delcour, of Hartville, Missouri; two nephews, Johnnie Wisdom, Jr., and Andy Wisdom; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised and spent all of her life in Wright County and worked as a nurse for twenty years. She was very kind hearted and taught us how to live and die with dignity. She centered her life on God, family, and friends. Ruth had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of New Home Baptist Church and was attending New Life Family Worship. In her spare time she enjoyed working in her garden, growing beautiful flowers, and loved cooking for her family and many friends. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Mansfield. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield, Missouri.
