Ruth Mitchell (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Ruth Wilma Mitchell, age 98, of Bolivar, Missouri departed this life early Thursday morning, October 25, 2012 at Parkview Healthcare Facility in Bolivar.
Ruth was born on June 28, 1914 in Moran, Kansas the daughter of Willie Farmer and May (Loonie) Farmer.
She was united in marriage to Virgil Mitchell, on July 25, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri. To this union was born one daughter, Delores.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Willie and May, her husband; Virgil, two sisters; Velma Conklin and Neva Borchert, and a nephew; Everett Conklin.
Ruth is survived by her daughter; Delores Sherman and her husband Lloyd of Bolivar, Missouri, three grandchildren; Pamela Abbott and her husband Roger of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Melissa Nevils and her husband Aaron of Bolivar, Missouri, and Mike Sherman of Lenoir City, Tennessee, four great-grandchildren; Emily Nevils, Elena Nevils, Erica Nevils, and Corey Abbott, along with a host of special nieces and nephews.
Ruth was a longtime member of the Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church in Urbana, Missouri. Ruth enjoyed sowing, and teaching young girls to sow in 4H Club, she enjoyed quilting, and cooking for her family and friends, she was a marvelous cook. Ruth was also an officer in T.O.P.S. Ruth loved her family, her church, and especially her Lord.
