Ruth Moore's Obituary
Ruth Eleanor Moore, daughter of Forrest Chiles and Ollie Sharp Richard, was born August 23, 1927, in Centerview, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, January 13, 2008, in her home, in Conway, Missouri, at the age of eighty years, four months, and twenty days. On December 22, 1943, she was united in marriage to Irvin Dale Moore, and to this union four daughters and one son were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale, on August 8, 1995; three brothers, Chiles, David and Arthur Richard; and three sisters, Alice Fincher, Esther Moore, and Olive Jean Murrell. Ruth is survived by four daughters, Bonnie Wheeler, of Pensacola, Florida, Linda Moore, Sharon Lowe, and Debbie King, all of Conway, Missouri; a son, Larry Moore, of Pensacola, Florida; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Richard, and his wife, Patty, of Columbia, Missouri, and John Richard, and his wife, Evelyn, of Hallsville, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born in Centerview, Missouri, and was raised in the Phillipsburg community. After she and Dale were married, they made their home in the Phillipsburg and Conway area, and lovingly raised their children. In addition to being a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her husband and family, Ruth also worked for the H.D. Lee Company for a couple of years. For the last several years, she had made her home in Conway. Ruth had made her profession of belief in Christ and followed the Methodist faith throughout the years. She was an avid reader and greatly enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles in her spare time. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed all of her grandchildren. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. Her family and friends will hold dear to the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2008, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be held in Lonesome Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Memorials may be made through the funeral home.
