Ruth Price's Obituary
Ruth Ann (Parsons) Price was born in Mountain Grove, Missouri on July 25, 1952, to the late David Hampton and Pearlie May (Hill) Parsons, and departed this life at her residence in Mansfield, Missouri, on January 15, 2007 at the age of fifty-four years, five months, and twenty-one days. She was united in marriage to Elbert W. Hicks in 1968. They divorced in 1989, and he passed away in 2001. Seven children were born to this union. Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Gene Parsons; two sisters, Barbara Ann Volner and Mary Lou Moore; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Sue Parsons and one brother-in-law, Billy Joe Moore. Ruth Ann is survived by her seven children; Barbara Hough and her husband Curtis, of Ottawa, Kansas, Louis Hicks and his wife Kim, of Lebanon, Missouri, Elizabeth Heidelberg, of Crane, Missouri, Helen Heidelberg, of Seymour, Missouri, Jon Heidelberg, of Mineral Point, Missouri, William Heidelberg, of Fort Drum, New York, and Mary Heidelberg, of Columbia, Missouri; six brothers, Ray Parsons, and his wife Pat, of Columbia, Missouri, Arnold Parsons, of Doniphan, Missouri, Jim Edd Parsons, and David Parsons and his wife Evelyn, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Frankie Parsons and his wife Phyllis, of Hartville, Missouri, and Everett Parsons and his wife Faye, of Mountain View, Missouri; one sister, Brenda Volner, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, Robert Perkins and his wife Lacey, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, John Hough of Ottawa, Kansas, Aaron Hicks of Kimberling City, Missouri, Garrek, Dalton, Kylea, Louis Jr. and Sarah Hicks of Lebanon, Missouri, Kiernan Grace, Maggie and Isaac Heidelberg of North Carolina; one great-grandson, Brayden Lee Perkins, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and a host of other family and friends that will miss her very much. Ruth Ann lived near the Mountain Grove and Hartville areas all her life. She enjoyed fishing whenever possible, but mostly loved sitting at home watching old T.V. shows like “I Love Lucy” and Andy Griffith Shows. She enjoyed company and loved kids, there was hardly a time that you didn’t see her without one or more kids. Ruth Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories she has created for her many family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Hartville. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mt. Grove. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
