Sally Loraine Claxton (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Sally Loraine Claxton, daughter of Paul James and Margaret Lee Allemang Fogle, was born December 9, 1939, in Marysville, Ohio. She departed this life Thursday, December 19, 2019, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of eighty years and ten days.
She was united in marriage to Noah Daniel Claxton, who passed away on June 14, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and nine brothers and sisters, Junior Fogle, Georgie, James, Grace, Marjorie, Clara, Wanda, David and Mary.
Sally is survived by two step-daughters, Nancy (Lynn) Schrephfer and Sharon K. Domaschofsky, both of Kaiser, Oregon; a step-son, Allen Claxton, of Canton, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Fogle, of Ostrander, Ohio; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Ohio, and grew up in a cave, as her father built a “cave home”. After graduating from high school, she worked as a short order cook at various restaurants. She lived in different places through the years as she traveled with her husband wherever his business took him. Eventually, they retired to Missouri and made their home in the Springfield and Lebanon areas. Later, she returned to Ohio.
We celebrate her life and know that Sally will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
