Samantha Jo Woodcock (Lebanon) 's Obituary
Samantha Jo Woodcock, daughter of Dennis E. and Tiffany George Woodcock, was born December 25, 2003, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, December 17, 2016, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, at the age of twelve years, eleven months, and twenty-two days.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Greg George.
Samantha is survived by her parents, Dennis and Tiffany Woodcock, of the home; a brother, Kameron Woodcock, of the home; her maternal grandmother, Yvonne Howser, of Lebanon, Missouri; her paternal grandparents, Dean and Debbie Woodcock, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; her maternal great-grandparents, Chuck and Connie Williams, of Eldon, Missouri, Virgil Holder, of Eldon, Missouri, Prentice Holder, of Osage Beach, Missouri; her paternal great-grandmother, Annette Woodcock, of Luebbering, Missouri; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
She lived all of her life in Lebanon, where she was currently a seventh grade student at Lebanon Middle School. She was a member of the basketball team, the L.M.S. Band, the volleyball team, and was involved in the Fellowship of Christian Atheletes.
Samantha made her profession of faith in Christ on January 15, 2012 and was an active member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon. She was involved in the youth activities and Kids Stuff ministries and enjoyed sharing her faith every time she had an opportunity. Her belief in God and deep faith were a vital part of her life.
She enjoyed playing the guitar, and was a talented artist excelling at both drawing and painting. She liked to go camping, hiking, and anything outdoors and always wanted to be busy. She possessed an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. She was strong willed and held tight to her convictions. Her family and her faith were at the center of her life and she loved her family dearly.
Samantha was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, niece, cousin, and was a caring and kind friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will hold tight to their memories of this sweet, young girl taken from us way too soon.
A memorial has been established for the Woodcock Missions Scholarship.
