Sammie James Kelley, Jr. (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Sammie James Kelley, Jr., age 76, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Tuesday afternoon, November 23, 2010 in an automobile accident in Bolivar, Missouri.
He was born December 20, 1933 in Springfield, Missouri to Sammie James Kelley, Sr. and Edna (Melton) Kelley.
On August 7, 1955 Sammie married Phyllis June Melton In Springfield, Missouri.
Sammie worked for Reyco Industries for 27 years and then owned his own Janatorial Business prior to his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and a granddaughter, Rachel Denise Kelley.
Sammie is survived by his two sons, Ron Kelley and his wife Robin of Springfield, Missouri, Ricky J. Kelly and his wife Denise of Springfield, Missouri, his father, Sammie James Kelley, Sr. of Springfield, Missouri, two brothers, Clifford Kelley and Donald Kelley both of Springfield, Missouri, a sister, Vera Trogdon of Springfield, Missouri, three grandchildren, Kent Dodson, Thomas James Kelley and Brian Lee Kelley.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Monday, November 29, 2010 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Mr. Lavern Maxwell officiating. Musical selections will be “Amazing Grace” and “The Old Rugged Cross”. Burial will follow at Robberson Prairie Cemetery just North of Springfield. A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00pm Sunday at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri.
