Sammy Lee Dismang (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Sammy Lee Dismang, son of Chester and Vena Richardson Dismang, was born March 30, 1942, near Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, October 21, 2019, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-seven years, six months, and twenty-two days.
On March 23, 1961, he was united in marriage to Patsy L. Perry, and to this union one son was born.
He was preceded in death his parents; a son, Sammy Dwight Dismang; and a sister, Pauline Doublin.
Sammy is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Patsy, of the home; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Dismang, of Lebanon, Missouri; a foster son, Inez Mendiola, and his wife, Mollie, of Guadalupe, Mexico; a brother, Doyle Dismang, and his wife, Lorna, of Pleasant Hope, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
He lived his entire life in the Laclede County area. After he and Patsy were married, they made their home near Lebanon and lovingly raised their family. Sammy was a truck driver for the Frisco Transport Company for over twenty years, and then owned and operated Downtown Furniture Store for several years. Since 1977, he had been an auctioneer, sold cattle, and was widely known for conducting charitable auctions. He was also a longtime pastor at several area churches throughout the years.
Sammy had a deep abiding faith in God and had committed many scriptures to memory. He lived and breathed the word of God. He was currently the pastor at Unity Worship Center.
He was an avid hunter and loved hunting with his friends. He possessed a delightful sense of humor and loved to tease, especially children. His family was very important to him and he was truly in love with his wife.
Sammy was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and was a good friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that he will be fondly remembered as a loving family man, a dedicated pastor, and a caring and loyal friend.
Memorial contributions to Atchley (Blackfoot) Cemetery may be made through the funeral home.
