Sammy Lawson (Hartville)'s Obituary
Sammy Robert Lawson, son of Ernest Andrew and Edith Geneva (Scarborough) Lawson, was born June 23, 1945, on the family farm east of Hartville, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, December 9, 2010, in St. John’s Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years, five months and sixteen days.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Vada.
Sammy is survived by five sisters, Virginia Long and husband, Vernon, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Sharon Sawyers and husband, Vernon, of Hartville, Missouri, Barbara Kearnes, of Hartville, Missouri, Linda Hicks and husband, Jerry, of Marshfield, Missouri, and Donna Sue Pasley and husband, Bill, of Hartville, Missouri; two brothers, Larry Lawson and wife, Connie, of Mansfield, Missouri, and Dave Lawson, of Hartville, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; lots of special friends at the Hartville Care Center; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Born and reared near Hartville, he attended the Broyles School and Mountain Grove School. Throughout his life he worked with his father and also worked cutting wood, fixing fence, and haying.
Sammy had professed his faith and attended the Little Country Church. He centered his life around his family. He enjoyed spending time with them and loved to tease them for fun. He was a good hearted guy with a quiet, gentle spirit.
He found great pleasure being outdoors, watching wildlife, and going coon hunting.
Sammy was a loving and caring brother and uncle and was a trusted neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. He will live on in our hearts forever.
