Samuel H.K. Beechy (Seymour)'s Obituary
Samuel H.K. Beechy, beloved husband of Mary R. (Schwartz) Beechy and father of seven, was tragically killed by a lightning strike on Friday, June 26, 2015, as he was plowing a field behind his home in rural Seymour. The two horses attached to the plow were also killed.
One of fifteen children, Samuel was a Seymour native, born April 26, 1985, to Harley L. and Katie K. (Schwartz) Beechy. He was a dedicated husband and father and provided for his family by farming and milking. He was 30 years young at the time of his passing. Samuel was preceded in death by his twin brothers, Christian H.K. and Aaron H.K. Beechy.
Samuel leaves behind his wife, Mary R., of the home; their seven children – Harley M., Ida M., Reuben M., Katie M., Mary M., Sammy M. Jr., and Emma M. Beechy; twelve siblings – Mary H.K., Levi H.K., Katie H.K., Harley H.K., Johnny H.K., Henry H.K., Emma H.K., Elmer H.K., Amanda H.K., Jonas H.K., Anna H.K., and Maggie H.K. Beechy; his parents, Harley L. and Katie K. Beechy; paternal grandfather, Levi H. Beechy and his wife, Anna; and many, many more extended family, dear friends and neighbors.
Amish Funeral Services were held Monday, June 29, 2015, at the Beechy residence with hundreds in attendance. Burial followed at County Line Cemetery in Wright County.
