Samuel Richey's Obituary
Samuel Newton Richey, age 90, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away Monday evening, November 23, 2009 at Colonial Springs Healthcare Center in Buffalo, Missouri. He was born December 25, 1918 in Alicia, Arkansas the son of Jasper Newton Richey and Lillie May (Householder) Richey. Samuel owned and operated a Cultured Marble Company. He spent most of his life in California and returned to Missouri 12 years ago. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Hazel (Lewis) Richey in 1996, one brother, Charley Richey, and two sisters, Florence Matney and Essie Cox. Samuel is survived by his son, Harlan Richey and his wife Debbie of Bolivar, Missouri, two stepchildren, Patricia Cervantez of Santa Paula, California, Walter Packwood and his wife Rose of Alamogordo, New Mexico, 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and a very special and dear friend, Marie Box of Bolivar, Missouri. A graveside service will be held at 11:30am, Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Aldrich, Missouri with Reverend Gary Ankrom officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00am, Friday morning at the Butler Funeral Home Chapel prior to leaving for the graveside service in Aldrich.
