He was honorably retired from the Navy in 1981, and he and Lolita moved to Lebanon, Missouri.
Sam made his profession of faith in Christ at an early age, and had established his own personal relationship with his Lord and Savior.
He was a member of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed being outdoors where is favorite activities were hunting and fishing. He was a very friendly man who enjoyed visiting with his friends. Being a career military man, he always did things right and kept things neat. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
Sam was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be remembered as a devoted family man, a dedicated and decorated military man, and a good friend.
