Sandra Hahn (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Sandra (Sandi) Sue Hahn, 61, of Bolivar went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 22, 2013 surrounded by family.
She was born July 14, 1952 in Burns, Oregon and moved to Missouri as a child. She is the daughter of Vincent and Evelyn Kinkead of Farmington. She was united in marriage to Robert E. Hahn on March 3, 1990.
Sandi was a 1970 graduate of Central High School in Park Hills, and a 1973 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She was a career employee of the United States Postal Service serving as Postmaster and Postal Officer in Charge in a number of locations in southeast and southwest Missouri. She served as Postmaster in Bolivar for 29 years. In 2007 she was honored as the state winner of the National Newspaper Association with the Benjamin Franklin Community Newspaper & Postal Partnership Award for Excellence. She retired from the Postal Service in 2008 after 33 years of service.
She enjoyed fishing, volunteering, and spending time with her best friend and husband, Bob. Sandi and Bob traveled often and visited much of the United States including Alaska and Hawaii as well as a number of countries in Europe. She was a committed Missouri Tiger fan and seldom missed a home football game. She enjoyed singing in the choir at Bolivar United Methodist Church. She most loved being a wife to Bob and mother to Jeremy. Her warm, caring personality was a source of joy not only to her family but to all with whom she came in contact.
She is survived by her husband Bob; son Jeremy Harvey of Columbia; parents Vincent and Evelyn Kinkead; one sister Maude Kelly and husband James of Farmington; three brothers, Bill Wood and wife Becky of St. Louis, David Kinkead and wife Bonnie of Williamsburg, Iowa, and Nick Kinkead and wife Robyn of Omaha, Nebraska, nieces, a nephew and many other relatives and friends.
In Farmington, visitation will be held Monday, December 30th from 6-8 p.m at Taylor Funeral Home. The celebration of her life will continue on Tuesday, December 31st with a service at Taylor Funeral Home beginning at 11 a.m. Graveside service will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials made to the Tremain House in Bolivar, the American Cancer Society, or the Bolivar United Methodist Church.
