Sandra Lee Tate
Sandra Lee Tate, daughter of Cecil and Oma Lee (Rippee) Workman was born May 31, 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She departed this life Friday, April 17, 2009 in Primrose Place in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years, ten months, and seventeen days.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sandra is survived by her three children, Michael J. Workman and his wife, Deborah, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Norma Haggard, of Springfield, Missouri, and Jolene Ibarra and her husband, Reverend Roberto Ibarra, of Sylvia, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Zoe, Audry, and Xander Haggard, Raelee, Josie, Adreono, and Emilo Ibarra; two brothers, Ronald Workman and his wife, Donna, of the State of California, and Terrence Workman, of the State of Wisconsin; two sisters, Mary Bell Krueger, of the State of California, and Shirley Hall and her husband, William, of the State of Tennessee; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
She was born in Milwaukee and lived there in her youth and then moved to Southwest Missouri forty years ago. She lived in the Ava area before moving to Seymour to make her home.
Sandra had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Seymour Freewill Baptist Church.
She enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music. She loved spending time with her family, and especially her grandchildren.
Sandra was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Services are 10:30 A.M., Monday, April 20, 2009 in the Seymour Freewill Baptist Church, with Reverends Danny Cottengim and Derek Terry officiating. Burial will be in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery with Reverend Roberto Ibarra officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour.
